FAQ’s

Why Do You Fundraise?

We raise money to support every child’s learning. Approximately 80% of the funds we spend each year are spent directly in the classroom. Each year we have an Annual Appeal, which funds our annual budget by collective fundraising. TCPG does not collect dues, and donations are voluntary. We believe that everyone has something to offer. As our Expeditionary Learning principles say, “We are crew, not passengers.” Whatever you bring, we’re glad you’re here!

How Can I Volunteer?

As we all settle into our school-year routines, the TCPG volunteer committee is gauging parent/caregiver volunteer interest and beginning to organize volunteer opportunities for 2021-22. Visit our volunteering page for step-by-step instructions for how to get involved.

We organize opportunities for parents and caregivers to participate in and engage with the TC community as they are able and willing. From all-school events to classroom support, we connect volunteers to spaces within our community where they can lend a hand and make a difference.

What is Site Council, and How Does it Relate to TC Parent Group?

Shows that Site Council is the inclusion of all current TC parents/ caregivers and all TC staff and administrators. Voting positions are held by elected parents/caregivers as well as staff/administrators

All parents/caregivers of TC students are a member of TC Parent Group and Site Council. Site Council is a forum where parents join together with staff and administrators to make decisions on behalf of the school community. The Site Council’s board is made up of both parents and staff.
